Fraudulent Christianity

By Jojo - June 04, 2022

What if I told you that your Christianity was fraudulent? Would you believe me? You grew up in church, go to church regularly, might even be an active worker in the house of God. You have felt certain feelings in the house of God, maybe you're even a teacher/ preacher of the Word. You've received many miracles from God, have received many prophecies and have even seen some of them come to pass I your life. You might be a prayer warrior and may have read your Bible cover to cover more than once. But none of those things make us Christians, because if they did then Christ died in vain.

I've been there, I used to attend all night vigils at least once a month, Bible study/breakfast meetings at least one Saturday a month amongst others, and I thought I was Christian. I would have fought anyone that insinuated that I wasn't a Christian, what do you mean I'm not a Christian, have you taken a look at my life? And the miracles that God had done for me? But true Christianity started for me the day I realized that my Christianity was fraudulent.

So, I want to ask this simple question - are you saved? I didn't ask if you said a prayer - because I did many times - I asked if you're saved. If Jesus shows up tomorrow, are you sure that you're going with Him? Do you have the assurance of your salvation? Does the Spirit within you cry Abba Father? Does it testify of your salvation. No one can tell you or assure you that you're saved, only the Holy Spirit can - has he assured you that you're saved?

If your answer is no, isn't it time to tell yourself the truth and stop playing Christian? My Christianity started the day I stopped trying to be a Christian, asked God forgiveness for being a fraud, and asked that He please make me the real deal because that was what I wanted.

The change in my life has been like night and day. I thought I had a good life, but God showed me that my definition of good was subpar. Because He Himself is "Good". My life has taken on such depth that it surprises even me. I didn't realize how often God actually speaks - and about everything too! I had no idea how involved God wanted to be in every aspect of my life - to upgrade it, and keep upgrading it. I didn't know how close of friends I could be with Him, how literal of a Teacher and Comforter He is, or how intensely physical spiritual things are.

I didn't know the definition of rest until I found Jesus, and more than anything I want everyone else to have Jesus, to have this relationship that words cannot quite explain and that the human mind cannot imagine, no matter how hard it tries.

But how can you reach for something if you wrongly believe you already have it? How can you ask for what you think is already in your hand? I'm not here to accuse you, but I want you to pause and please ask yourself truthfully - are you saved? Search your heart and if your answer is no, or I'm not sure, do you want it to be Yes? Do you want to be sure? Then turn to God, ADMIT and confess your fraud, and ask that He make you a real Christian.

Please do not go through the motions - take your time to reflect and until you get an answer do not let the question go. I promise you, Jesus is worth a true answer
